How to Make a Fishbowl Vase

Display flowers on a counter or table using a fish bowl instead of a traditional vase.

Flowers can brighten up a basic table setting. Flowers are also ideal for centerpieces at weddings or when you invite company over for dinner. You can use a basic, clear vase designed for displaying flowers or use an alternative, such as a fishbowl, to display flowers. Fish bowls are more versatile and available in different colors, sizes and shapes.

Instructions

1. Wash a fish bowl out with warm, soapy water and dry completely.

2. Place chicken wire inside the fish bowl to keep the flowers upright.

3. Arrange your flowers in a colorful way. Place one color of flower around the outside and another on the inside in a circular fashion or create an alternating pattern of colors. Don't be afraid to try different arrangements until you're content.

4. Fill the bowl approximately 3/4 full with water to keep the flowers fresh.

• Use a fish bowl that coordinates with the types and colors of your flowers. Fish bowls come in many sizes and colors of various shades.
