How to Troubleshoot a BB Flashback Black

Sometimes you want to share what you are working on with others who can't be in the room to watch your computer screen. BB FlashBack is software that you install on your computer that allows you to record what is happening on your screen to a video that you can share with others online, by email or on YouTube. If you are having technical problems with the BB FlashBack software, you can fix the issues by trying a few troubleshooting steps.

If the sound and video on your recordings are out of sync, click on the "Options" tab at the top of the screen, and then click on the "Recorder Options" window. Click on the "Test Sound Sync" button on the window. The system will detect the problem and fix it for later recordings. You can fix the problem in existing videos by right clicking on the soundtrack of the recording and selecting "Resynchronize."

If you are unable to record sound in your videos, click on the "PC Sounds" option in the "Sound" step on the recording wizard. If this does not solve the issue, click on the "Select Sounds to Mix" button in the same window. An options window will appear. Click on the "Wave" source. If this is already selected, click on the "Stereo," "Mix" and "Mono" sources to ensure that sound is recorded.

If you see a large black bar where the video should be in your videos, click on the "More Settings" button in the "Record" step in the record wizard. This means that video hardware acceleration is turned on. Click on the "Disable Video Hardware Acceleration" setting in the window to solve the problem. Restart any media applications you are using before trying to record again.

Add another "Zoompan" into the video timeline in the editor if you added a previous "Zoompan" and the video stays zoomed for the rest of the movie. A "Zoompan" will affect the rest of the movie unless you add a second one when you want to zoom out. Right click on the new "Zoompan" and choose "Show Entire Movie" to return to the full screen.
