How to Make a Massaging Shower
If you are tired of your weak, unsatisfying shower head, it may be time for an update. Massaging shower heads are available from most plumbing supply stores. New massage heads are not that expensive and even save you money in the long run by saving you water. Also, installing a massaging shower head is not a difficult plumbing task, requiring no more than an hour of work in most cases -- as long as your old head isn't stuck. Does this Spark an idea?

Wrap a towel around the shower arm.

Grip the towel with a pair of slip joint pliers.

Wrap another towel around the locking nut of your shower head. Turn the nut counterclockwise to loosen it. Remove the old shower head.

Clean the threads on the shower arm with a toothbrush to remove any old plumber's tape.

Wrap the shower arm threads with one layer of plumber's tape.

Screw on the new massaging shower head. Grab the locking nut with a towel, and tighten it with a wrench.

Tips & Warnings
Fill a bucket with warm water and white vinegar, and hold it up on to the old shower head for a few minutes to break up mineral deposits.
