How to Block IMVU
IMVU is a 3D social interaction website, with avatars, chat rooms and forums that let people interact with each other. If you want to block access to this website, you can do so by modifying a system file that your computer uses when looking up websites. This change is reversible, but as long as it is in place, you'll be unable to access IMVU from your computer.

Open the Start menu on your computer.

Type "notepad," right-click on "Notepad.exe" and click "Run as administrator."

Click "File," then "Open" then type "c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" and press "Enter."

Add "127.0.0.1 imvu.com" to a new line at the bottom of the hosts file.

Add "127.0.0.1 www.imvu.com" to a new line at the bottom of the hosts file.

Save the file, and you will no longer have access to IMVU unless you remove the two lines you added to the hosts file.
