How to Alter Seat Belts on a Forklift if They Are Too Tight
The operator of a forklift must be trained to know how to use the controls in order to perform tasks safely. The seat belt that the operator puts on when in the forklift provides an added level of safety inside the cabin. The seat belt operates in a similar manner to those found in cars and can be adjusted for different operators. The procedure does not require the use of tools.

Press the locking tab to release the seat belt latch. Separate the two sections of the seat belt from each other.

Grip the section of the seat belt that has the locking latch at its end. Insert your finger into the loop of the seat belt strap to loosen it. Pull the seat belt section away from you.

Sit on the operator's chair in the forklift. Hold the section of the seat belt that has the locking latch at its end in your right hand. Hold the other section of the seat belt in your left hand.

Insert the locking latch at the end of the section of the seat belt that is in your right hand into the slot at the end of the other section of the seat belt.

Pull the end of the seat belt strap on the section of the seat belt at your right away from you. Stop pulling the strap when the seat belt lying across your lap is snug.
