How to Get Dratini in "Diamond"
In the "Pokemon" video games, Dratini is a serpentine Dragon-type Pokemon. Dratini are elusive creatures that make their homes in very specific spots. For example, in "Pokemon Diamond," you will only find Dratini in one chamber within the massive Mount Coronet. Once you capture this rare beast, it will lend you its diverse move set and resistance to Fire-, Water-, Grass- and Electric-type attacks. In addition, if you train Dratini, it will evolve into stronger Dragon-type creatures.

Travel to Route 208, which is west of Hearthome City.

Enter Mount Coronet through a doorway on the westernmost side of the route.

Navigate to the stairs in the northeast corner of the first chamber. Ascend the stairs to the next floor.

Travel to the northwest corner of the next chamber and enter the doorway.

Ascend a series of staircases and exit through the next doorway. You will emerge on a snowy area near the summit of Mount Coronet.

Walk northeast along the ledges until you find a wall lined with tracks.

Use the Rock Climb ability to climb to the tracks and reach another ledge.

Walk west along the ledge and enter the doorway. You will arrive in a chamber containing a waterfall.

Use the Surf ability to reach the waterfall.

Go fishing with the Super Rod until you hook a wild Dratini. Dratini's appearance rate is 30 percent. Expect the hooked Pokemon to range between levels 15 and 20.

Weaken the wild Dratini with attacks but don't knock it out. Attacks that cause paralysis improve your chances of capturing the wild Pokemon.

Throw a PokeBall to capture the wild Dratini.
