How to Make a Decoupage Bead
When you make a handmade beaded necklace, solidly-colored beads purchased from a craft store can sometimes appear plain and drab. One solution is to make beads yourself using basic craft supplies and decoupage techniques that will make the beads whimsical and festive. Using decoupage also enables you to use any decorative paper or magazine as a base for the beads. Everything you need in order to make decoupage beads can be bought from an arts and crafts supply store.

Cut out pictures from magazines using scissors that you want to apply onto the beads. Cut the pictures into pieces that are approximately 1/4-inch wide, 1/4-inch long.

Paint the outside of a wooden bead with a layer of the diluted craft glue using a paintbrush.
