To complete the Snow White look, tie a red ribbon around your head.

The storybook character Snow White has been a popular Disney icon since the release of the movie "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" in 1937. She is also a favorite image when it comes time to decide upon a costume for Halloween. Because her attire is fairly simple, many people can find what they need to dress like Snow White already in their closets.

Instructions

    • 1

Look for a short-sleeved blue shirt in your wardrobe. This can be either a t-shirt, sweatshirt with the sleeves cut short, a pajama top or a blue body suit, as long as it is blue.

    • 2

Stuff balled up tissue paper or socks in the shoulder area to give that section of the top a somewhat puffy appearance. Take whatever red fabric you can find and cut out a few long stripe shapes that you can pin to the puffy portion of the sleeves to create an almost pleated-looking design.

    • 3

Look for some fabric that is yellow, whether it be a skirt, pair of pants, bed sheet, large towel, etc. Snow White's skirt is long and yellow, so if you don't have a skirt or pants in this color you will have to secure whatever material you can find around your waist with some safety pins.

    • 4

Complete the costume with a pair of white or black shoes, either flats or high heels, and then tie a red ribbon into a bow atop your head.

Tips & Warnings

  • One of the most recollected images involving Snow White is that of her eating a poisoned apple. To make the costume complete you can carry an apple around with you.
