How to Remove Dents From Washing Machines

Both washing machines and dryers are among the most noisy and bulky of home appliances. Both clothes care appliances typically vibrate and rock.       Put on rubber gloves to protect your skin.

      Plug a heat gun into a nearby electrical outlet and turn it on a medium to high setting, then set it aside momentarily.

      Unwrap a package of dry ice and place the dry ice in a bucket. Carry the bucket out to the washing machine and set the bucket within reach.

      Pick up the heat gun and point it toward the dent in the washing machine. Depress the trigger on the heat gun and wave it over the dent approximately 3 to 4 inches away for a period of 40 to 50 seconds.

      Put down the heat gun and immediately retrieve the dry ice from the bucket. Press the dry ice against the dent and hold it to the appliance for about 10 to 15 seconds, then remove the dry ice and put it back in the bucket.

      Wait between 30 and 60 seconds for the dent to pop out. If the dent remains after that time, repeat Steps 4 and 5 to remove the dent.
