How to Downgrade Vuze for Mac

Vuze is a BitTorrent client based on the open-source Azureus software. Azureus was released in 2003, followed by Vuze in 2006. Each new release of Vuze corrects bugs in earlier versions of the software. Sometimes new features are included in a new release and, occasionally, these upgrades contain new bugs. You may wish to downgrade your copy of Vuze if the latest version is not functioning as well as the previous version.

Instructions

    • 1

Close the Vuze application if it is currently open.

    • 2

Drag the "Vuze" icon from the Applications folder to the Trash and then empty the Trash.

    • 3

Navigate to the Vuze.com website in a browser and download an older version of Vuze.

    • 4

Drag the "Vuze" icon from the installation image to the Applications folder and launch it. Your settings are preserved in your home folder and are used automatically with the older version of Vuze.
