How Do I Manage My WordPress Blog on Bluehost?

WordPress users can install thousands of external plug-ins for their blog.

You can manage your WordPress blog using the Bluehost server by first installing the plug-in from the Bluehost control panel. The Bluehost control panel manages all third-party plug-ins active on the sites you host on their servers. Once installed, you can log in to your WordPress blog from a special subpage on your website. This then allows you to access the WordPress program and edit your blog as you normally would.

Instructions

1. Open a Web browser on your computer. Visit the Bluehost website at Bluehost.com. Click the "Control Panel" login button. Enter your login details and click the "Login" button.

2. Scroll down your Bluehost account home page to the bottom. Click the "WordPress" icon.

   Click the "Install" button on the next page that appears. Choose the location on your website where you want WordPress installed. If you are unsure about the location, just leave the field blank, and the plug-in will install in the "Home" directory. Read over the terms and conditions of the WordPress license and then check the box stating you have done so.

3. Enter your WordPress username and password into the designated fields. Click the "Complete" button, and WordPress will begin to automatically install on your website.

4. Log in to your WordPress manager by typing your site's address into the address bar and then adding "/wp-admin" at the end of it. The full website URL would appear like this:

   www.yoursite.com/wp-admin

5. Enter your WordPress username and password into the designated fields. Click the "Login" button. The next page will display your WordPress account manager homepage. From this site you can create and edit blog posts, paste HTML code and alter the graphics of your blog.
