How to Export AOL Settings
America Online, or AOL, stores its settings in a Personal Filing Cabinet, or PFC, folder. You can export these settings from within the application in order to save a copy of them for a later time. These files contain a variety of information, including your sensitive emails, so be sure to keep them safe.

Open AOL from your Start menu.

Click "Mail," then click "Mail Settings."

Click "Managed Saved Mail," then click "Backup Now."

Click "Save," and choose a location to save the backed up filing cabinet to.
