How to Make a Turtleneck in "Second Life"
"Second Life" is a three-dimensional virtual world that allows users to fulfill fantasies such as owning homes, building castles or driving spaceships. Players interact with the environment and others through the use of avatars. You can define your avatar's gender, shape, size and physical features. You can also use game tools to create clothing for your avatar such as shoes, skirts, pants and turtlenecks.

2
Right-click your avatar and choose "My Appearance" to display the My Appearance roll-out. Click the "Wearing" tab to show what your avatar is wearing.

Look for the shirt from the roll-out list. If your avatar is wearing a lot of clothing, you may need to scroll down the list of wearables to find the shirt. Right-click the shirt to display a pop-up. Choose "Create New Shirt" from the pop-up to display the "Editing Shirt" screen. A white, long-sleeve shirt appears on your avatar.
-
4
Enter a name for your shirt, such as "Turtleneck."
-
5
Click the "Texture" square if you want to add an optional texture to the shirt. This displays the "Pick Texture" box. Click the "Library" folder to open it, then the "Textures" folder underneath it to reveal texture categories. Choose a texture such as "Blue Plasma" under "Misc Textures." Click the "OK" button to apply the texture to the shirt.

6
Click the "Color/Tint" square to display the Color Picker box. Define a color for your shirt by clicking on a color, defining color values or dragging the cursor along the color display. Note that the "Color/Tint" square and the shirt changes color to match your selections. When you have the desired hue, click the "OK" button to close the Color Picker. The "Color/Tint" square and the shirt assumes the color you picked.
-
7
Scroll through shirt options until you find the "Collar Front" slider. Drag this slider to the right until a turtleneck collar grows around your avatar. You can also enter a number in the box to the right of the slider. The further you drag this slider or the higher the number, the higher the collar becomes. You can adjust other sliders as needed to control options such as sleeve length.
-
8
Click the "Save As" button to display the "Save Item" box. Change the name if needed and click the "OK" button to save the turtleneck in your inventory.
