      Learn the proper finger positions for typing. The pinky on the left hand should be on the letter "A," and each subsequent finger should rest on the letter to the right of the previous key, except for the thumb, which rests on the space bar. A similar rule applies to your right hand where the pinky rests on the semicolon (;), and each subsequent finger rests on the letter to the left of the previous key, except for the thumb, which rests on the space bar.

      Understand proper typing technique and which fingers to use to reach each key. Your thumbs should never leave the space bar, because you should be able to reach every key without moving your hands.

      Do not look down when you type. While your fingers tap each key, your eyes should be looking up at the screen to make sure you've tapped the correct key. If you are unsure of the location of a key, guess where it is. After you've done this long enough, you should develop muscle memory, and you fingers will know where to go for each key.

      Take typing tests constantly to keep track of your speed and accuracy. The more tests you take, the faster you will improve.
