How to Do a Men's Precision Haircut
Men's haircuts tend to be simple. It's mostly a matter of getting the hair to be even all the way around and removing any uneven sections of hair, unless that unevenness is there for a reason. Men's haircuts have colorful names such as the flat top, pompadour, high and tight and the fade. Getting a precision men's haircut is a matter of determining what style is wanted, how long it should be and using the right equipment. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Determine the length and shape of the haircut. Brush or comb the hair in the direction of growth.
-
2
Start at the point where you want the hair to be the longest. Select the correspondingly large clipper gate for electric hair clippers. Properly secure the gate to the clippers.
-
-
3
Begin cutting at the front hairline, cutting back to the nape of the neck. Cut all hair the same length as you go all the way around the head.
-
4
Select a smaller gate and place it on the clippers. Clip all of the hair on the head precisely, except where you want it to remain longer. Repeat with a smaller gate until you achieve the shape and length desired.
-
5
Remove the gate from clippers. Shave hair on the back of the neck. Trim hair behind the ears.
-
6
Trim the hair in front and around the ears and anywhere that you see an uneven hairline using the fine teeth of a cutting comb and sharp scissors. Style as desired.
