Red, white and black flowers can make a stunning display.

Fresh flowers like black Asiatic lilies, black magic roses, black orchids and black calla lilies bring out a red and black themed wedding, awards or fundraising event with style and grace. Particularly when they are paired with red roses and white stephanotis, a fresh black flower doesn't carry an ominous tone but rather, a sense of purpose. Don't be afraid to include a few black flowers in your floral bouquets for a black- and red-themed event; they could just end up being the talk of the evening.

Use fresh black flowers sparingly, to accent your bouquets. Select two to four beautiful black flowers like black Asiatic lilies, black magic roses, black orchids or black calla lilies to add to your bouquets. Include red roses, carnations and lilies in your bouquets along with white roses, lilies, orchids, carnations, stephanotis and baby's breath.

Lay the flowers on a table arranging layers from the outermost layer to the innermost and finishing with the outermost layer again on the top of the pile. Tie floral wire around the fresh cut flower stems to hold the arrangement together. Cover the wire with green floral tape.

Wrap a complementary but contrasting color of silk ribbon around the flower stems with two loose ends hanging down off the end of the bouquet if they are comprising a handheld bouquet or around the outside of a clear vase if you're using the bouquets as centerpieces. Use red ribbon if it is the accent color in your arrangement or black ribbon if black is the accent color you've chosen. Use a hot glue gun to attach the top of the ribbon to the floral tape.
