Raspberry cheesecakes are usually made in two ways. Either the raspberries are baked into the cheesecake itself or a plain cheesecake is used with a raspberry topping. No matter which way make your raspberry cheesecake, the decorating method is the same. The important part of decorating a raspberry cheesecake is to use both a red berry jelly and fresh raspberries for the topping. The berry jelly doesn't have to be raspberry as long as it is red. Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup of red raspberry jelly
  • Small saucepan
  • Bowl
  • 2 pints fresh of raspberries
  • Wooden spoon
  • Cheesecake

Instructions

    • 1

      Add 1 cup of jelly to a small saucepan and simmer over low heat to melt the raspberry jelly. You can also substitute strawberry or currant jelly if you don't have raspberry.

      Pour the melted jelly into a bowl and add 2 pints of raspberries.

      Stir gently using the wooden spoon to mix the two ingredients.

      Pour the mixture over the cheesecake. Work carefully to keep the cheesecake looking nice. The berries should stay on the top of the cake but you can drizzle melted jelly along the sides of the cheesecake if you prefer. Serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a thicker sauce, use raspberry jam instead of jelly.
