How to Make a Snake Friendship Bracelet
Although knots have been used for clothing decoration since 480 B.C., macrame didn't develop until the 13th century in Arabia. Macrame soon spread to Italy, France and England, however, and in the 1960s it was revived in the United States. Today, one of the most popular forms of macrame is the friendship bracelet. There are different friendship bracelet designs, one of them being the Snake, which is sometimes called the Snake Around the Pole.

Pull the left strand downward and slide the knot toward the knot under the clipboard clamp.
