Instructions

    • 1

Lay newspapers to catch stray pieces of glitter while you work.

    • 2

Pour the glitter into a dish or bowl. One-and-a-half oz. of glitter should be enough to cover one or two skulls that are the same size as a real human skull, depending on how thick you apply the glue and glitter.

    • 3

Dip the foam paintbrush into craft glue.

    • 4

Spread a thin layer of glue on the skull.

    • 5

Dip the skull into the glitter. Continue dipping the skull into the glitter until the entire surface is coated in glitter. Tap the bottom of the skull to knock excess glitter loose.

    • 6

Set the skull on the newspaper to dry. Follow the glue manufacturer's instructions to determine drying time.

    • 7

Shape hats, necklaces or other neck wear for the skull out of paper. Use newspapers, old dictionary pages or anatomy textbook pages to fashion the skull's accessories. For example, roll a cone of paper to make a party hat. Layer fanned circles of paper to create an Elizabethan collar.

Place the accessories on the skull. Apply hot glue to hold the accessories in place if they will not stay in position on their own.
