How to Block Knit a Stocking
Applying knitting techniques in your work requires knowledge and understanding of the material with which you are working. Additionally, in order to prevent a self-made garment from looking sloppy, it is essential that you "block" -- a process that adds extra room in specific areas -- your garment pieces before seaming them together. For delicate fabric such as stocking, use steam blocking as a means of accomplishing the extra room your garment requires.
