How to Live With Unwanted Tattoos thumbnail
Your feelings about your tattoos can change.

The more tattoos you have, the increasingly greater chance that you won't dig one or two of them. Of course, when you've ruled out a cover up or an expensive removal procedure, you have no choice but to live with your unwanted tattoos. This doesn't mean you can't learn to love them for what they represent. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Cover an arm tattoo with a long-sleeve shirt. People won't point it out this way, and over time, you can get use to the idea of it. In time, your unwanted tattoo may appear to you like a tattoo that you love but are just no longer excited about.

    • 2

Find a reason to enjoy your tattoo. Try to remember why you got it in the first place. If your reasons have changed, find a new one, such as memento for the time in your life or the place it was done. If all else fails, keep it as a reminder not to make the same mistake.

    • 3

Get your tattoo retouched if you don't want to fork over the cash for a full cover-up. You can change part of the tattoo or add color to it. You may find that you do like your tattoo and just couldn't stand one part of it.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always consider your tattoo thoroughly before getting it to avoid tattoo regret.

  • Don't get a tattoo in a visible place if you are afraid you might regret it later.
