1
Draw an outline of ballet slippers on a piece of poster board. The basic shape of ballet slippers typically resembles the outline of the numeral eight. Often a strap that crosses the middle of the shoe or even two that cross-cross across the middle. Sometimes the shoe will also have ribbons attached to either end, which the dancer uses for lacing up the ankles. Choose the ballet slipper design you or your little girl likes best.
-
2
Paint or color the shoe pink, including any ribbons or straps, leaving the inside of the shoe white or coloring it tan to show contrast.
-
-
3
Cover the pink portion of the shoes with scattered holes using a hole puncher. Leave enough space between the holes that the pink is still visible. Do not hole punch nonpink areas, such as the area inside the shoe or around the shoe.
-
4
Clip hairpins, clips and barrettes into the holes by clipping them through one hole and out another. Continue until you have covered the entire pink area of the shoe with hair clips, leaving bits of pink showing in between.
-
5
Hang the poster board on the wall for easy access to the hair clips and to showcase the dance-themed hair clip organization.
