DIY Mister
A mister is a device that sprays a fine mist of water into the air, similar to the mist created by a spray bottle. Use misters to water plants or keep yourself cool on a hot day. As long as you have a hose and a fan, you can make a water mister at home using household items. Does this Spark an idea?

Push a 1/4-inch push lock fitting onto the other end the hose. Wrap the threaded portion of the hose with Teflon or plumber's tape two to three times. Wet the tape. Push a 1/4-inch push lock onto the threaded portion of the hose covered with the wet tape.

3
Connect the end of the hose with the push lock fitting to a misting ring that has a low-pressure tubing connector.
-
4
Connect the end of the hose with a faucet adapter to a nearby faucet or spigot.
-
5
Position the misting ring on a fan so the holes on the ring face away from the fan. Secure the misting ring to the fan using zip ties.
-
6
Plug the fan into a nearby outlet. Use an extension cord if needed. Turn on the water. As the water drips from the misting ring, the fan creates a mist as it blows air.
