Instructions

    • 1

Unplug the freezer from its electrical outlet.

    • 2

Place a blanket over the front of the freezer. The blanket will protect the freezer from damage caused by contact with the hand truck.

    • 3

Slide the hand truck under the front of the freezer so the vertical supports on the hand truck butt up against the front of the freezer.

    • 4

Wrap the ratchet straps around the freezer and hand truck. Hook the S-hooks at each end of the ratchet strap together. Tighten the ratchet strap with the ratcheting mechanism built into the strap. The strap will keep the freezer from falling of the hand truck when you lift it.

    • 5

Place your foot on the hand truck's axle and then tilt the hand truck back to lift the freezer off the ground. Move the freezer to a location with a 110-volt electrical outlet.

    • 6

Lower the freezer to the ground and then plug the freezer into the electrical outlet until you can move it back to its previous location or until you have the time to defrost the freezer.
