How to Decorate With Balloons at Your Kid's Party
Balloons function as the perfect party decor. Available in various colors and sizes, they prove festive and versatile. When decorating with balloons at your kid's party, break out of the box and do something more original than tying the balloons to his chair or the mailbox. Instead, give guests something they might not expect that adds an exciting flair to the party. Since balloons prove relatively inexpensive, make them a big part of your kid's celebration. Choose your child's favorite colors when picking out balloons.

Blow up each balloon by mouth or with an air pump. Tie the neck of each balloon in a knot after you fill it with air.

Place each balloon into the pool to float after blowing and tying. The balloons will make the pool more festive and give party guests the opportunity for a little extra fun while in the pool.
Balloon Forest

Blow up approximately 30 balloons with helium. Rent a helium tank or buy a small tank for home use.

Tie the neck of each balloon in a knot. Tie a long piece of ribbon that's approximately 3 feet in length to the neck of each balloon.

Allow the balloons to float to the ceiling in the party room, with the ribbons hanging down to create a forest of balloons. Encourage young party guests to enjoy making their way through the balloon forest.

Tips & Warnings
If your home has a high ceiling, cut the lengths of ribbons longer so that they dangle down to guest height.
Get party guests into the action; let each one blow up a balloon and place it into the pool.
Balloons that aren't blown up and pieces of popped balloons pose choking hazards to young children. Supervise children carefully when they are within reach of balloons.
