How to Make Kabbalah Bracelet

How to Make Kabbalah Bracelet thumbnail
Kabbalah bracelets are all the rage; make your own inexpensively.

Made from red string, Kabbalah bracelets are worn on the left wrist since the left is believed to be the energy-receiving side of the body and soul. Wearing the bracelet is believed to ward of the effects of the evil eye and negative energy. You can purchase red string kits that boast the addition of extra energy online or in specialty stores, but these can be quite pricey. Making your own Kabbalah bracelet from scratch is a less expensive option and allows you to personalize your bracelet for more significance.

Instructions

    • 1

Acquire a tightly woven, fairly sturdy, very thin piece of red string. This could be a piece of string you already own, or string purchased at a craft or specialty store. You'll need enough string to wrap and tie around your left wrist. Five inches should suffice.

    • 2

Wrap the string around your wrist to determine the exact length you'll need. The bracelet should be tight, with a little bit of slack for a comfortable fit. Cut the desired amount of string.

    • 3

Add special charms, symbols or adornments for personalization if you desire. Possibilities include silver or gold charms, zodiac symbols, small personal objects or religious symbols like the Star of David.

    • 4

Place the string in front of you for a blessing. Recite the Kabbalah Ana BeKoach prayer, and then cleanse the string using holy water.

    • 5

Tie the blessed and cleansed string around your left wrist, making a tight, secure knot to hold it in place. You may need someone to help you tie the string around your wrist.

    • 6

Recite another closing prayer for protection, acknowledging that the bracelet will be your protector from this point onward. This step is of particular importance as the energy and trust you transfer to the bracelet will determine its effectiveness.
