1
Wear gray clothing as the base of your costume. It should be form fitting, so a pair of gray leggings and a matching turtleneck work well. Wear a pair of blue swimsuit bottoms, or shorts over your gray leggings.
-
2
Cut an oval shape out of gold felt. Cut a bat out of black felt and use fabric glue to attach the bat to the center of the gold oval with fabric glue. Glue the Batman emblem you have made to the center of your gray turtleneck with fabric glue.

3
Accessorize the base of your Batman animated series costume with blue gloves and blue boots that match the blue shorts you are wearing over your gray leggings. If necessary, you can use blue spray paint to make black boots or gloves the right color for this costume.
-
4
Lay your blue satin flat in front of you. Fold the top edge down about 1 1/2-inches and use straight pins to hold the fold in place. Glue the bottom edge of the seam with fabric glue. After the glue has dried, run a piece of cord or ribbon through the folded pocket to create a drawstring to close your cape with.

5
Draw the outline for Batman's mask on a paper plate. Cut holes for your eyes and pointy ears at the top of the plate. The bottom of the paper plate will be cut off so just your eyes will be covered. Use a hole puncher to punch a hole in each side of the mask near the edge. Spray paint the mask blue and let it dry. Use ribbon tied to each of the punched holes to secure the mask to your head.
