How to Update Mosets Tree for Joomla!

These extensions range from an easier-to-navigate control panel to the overall look of a finished site. In addition to these add-ons, users can also install components such as the Mosets Tree to add even more features to their site. To update your Mosets Tree, you'll want to download the latest version first.

Download the latest version of Mosets Tree from the main website, which can be found at the Mosets Tree Pricing page. Note that if your yearly subscription from when you downloaded the last version has expired, you need to purchase a new subscription before you can download any updates.

Save the latest version of Mosets Tree to your computer and log into your Joomla! control panel by using your administration name and password.

Click on the "Installers" option at the top of the screen and then onto "Components." This will give you a list of components you've downloaded but haven't installed to your site.

Choose the "Upload Package File" option in the menu that appears and select "com_mtree-20x_buildxxx.zip" from the available options. Note that if you're overwriting an older version of Mosets Tree, Joomla! may ask you to uninstall the older version first.

Agree to uninstall the older version if asked and then click on "Upload File" once the removal of the old component is complete.

Let the installation of the updated version complete and then click on the "Run Mosets Tree Now!" option to reach the back end of the component.

Click on the "Menus" tab at the top of your Joomla! dashboard and then select "Main Menu" and "Add a New Menu" from the drop-down menu that appears.

Select "Component" from the list of options and type "Mosets Tree Component" in the "Name" field. Fill in the remaining information before saving your changes. Click on "Publish" once you've finished to make your changes live on your website so your visitors have access to the directory you've created.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure you have the latest version of Joomla! installed, otherwise your upgrade to Mosets Tree might not work properly.
