How to Fill Artboard in Illustrator

How to Fill Artboard in Illustrator thumbnail
Fill the Illustrator artboards using filled rectangles.

Filling the artboard in Adobe Illustrator to change the background color is not the same as filling the background in a pixel-based program such as Photoshop or Paint. Illustrator does not have a paint bucket tool that automatically fills the same color of pixels because it uses vector lines to depict the images. To fill the artboard in Illustrator you need to create a vector path the size of the artboard and fill it with the desired color.
