How to Get Your Facebook Email ID

Facebook offers you a direct messaging feature, allowing for private communication on the website. Facebook messaging allows you to exchange messages with another user as well as chat through instant messaging. You can also create a free "@facebook.com" email address. Creating a Facebook email ID enables you to receive messages from anyone, even people who don't use the social networking site. You'll need to log onto your account from a computer to start using this feature.

Instructions

    • 1

Direct your browser to facebook.com. Enter your user name and password, and then click "Log In."

    • 2

Click "Messages," located in the menu on the left side of the page.

    • 3

Click the "Claim Your Facebook Email" link, located at the top of the "Messaging" page. If you've already claimed your email ID, it will be displayed here. Your email ID is your Facebook public user name, followed by "@facebook.com."
