Create a bracelet the captures an everlasting friendship by using a circle theme. The circle symbolizes the unending bond between the friends. A circle pendant, beads or pattern added to the basic friendship bracelet accomplishes this message. Instructions

    • 1

Cut six 6 in. pieces of embroidery floss. Separate the embroidery floss into two groups of three strings each. Line up the strings in each group so the ends match. Tie a knot 1/2 in. from an end. Repeat with the other group of strings. Braid both sets of embroidery floss, leaving a 1 in. tail at the end of the braid. Tie the tail ends of both braids to the circle bead so there is one braid on each side. Tie the bracelet around a friend's wrist.

Cut two 12 inch pieces of embroidery floss. Tie the two strings together with a knot at the bottom two inches. Tie three knots with the strings. Tie a fourth knot, but don't pull it tight. Leave a 1 inch gap between the third and fourth knot. Tie three more knots. The gap will look like a circle. Continue tying knots and leaving gaps until the bracelet is long enough to wear.

Cut three 12-inch pieces of embroidery floss. Secure the three pieces of string together with a knot at one end. Braid the first 4 inches of the string. Thread the three strings through a needle. Push the needle through three beads. Move the beads down the strings so they sit next to the braid. Braid the rest of the bracelet until only 1 inch of the string remains unbraided. Tie a knot at the end of the braid.

Measure out and cut a 10 inch piece of embroidery floss. Tie a knot 1 1/2 inches from one end of the string. Slide on a circle bead. Tie a double-knot after the bead. Slide on another bead and tie another knot. Alternate beads and knots until 1 1/2 inches of free string remains. Use the tails to tie the bracelet onto a wrist.
