How to Cancel a Charge Back on PayPal

When a payment is made online through PayPal, there are various options the buyer can take advantage of when a problem occurs. If an item that was paid for was not received, or if the item was significantly different than what was described, the buyer may file a charge-back. The charge-back process exists to provide a venue for the buyer to receive their payment back. If the charge-back is no longer warranted after it has been initiated, it may be cancelled.

      Log into your PayPal account.

      Click the "Resolution Center" link on the top navigation menu under the "My Account" heading.

      Click "View Open Cases."

      Click the transaction for which a charge-back was initiated.

      Click "Cancel this Chargeback." Click "Continue" to finalize the cancellation.
