How to Deal With an Annoying Person on Facebook
Ideally, your Facebook profile will be used for friendly banter and photo sharing with your friends--unfortunately, sometimes a bad apple sneaks onto your friend list. If you find yourself connected to someone who annoys you, Facebook offers several ways to deal with the offender. If the annoying friend is actively contacting you, ignoring him might stop the communication. If it doesn't, use one of the available tools to put a stop to the user's behavior.

1
Hide the posts of a person you find annoying from your news feed if you don't want to sever your friendship, but are tired of reading her status updates. Hover your mouse over one of the user's posts in the homepage news feed and select "Hide all by [User's Name]" from the drop-down menu.

2
Unfriend someone who repeatedly posts unwanted content to your profile wall. When you remove someone from your friend list, she is no longer allowed to write anything on your wall, or see it if you restrict your wall to "Friends Only." Unfriend another user by visiting her profile and clicking the "Unfriend" link in the left column of her profile.

3
Block a user who continues to send you private messages or friend requests even after you unfriend her. A blocked user cannot see you anywhere on Facebook or initiate communication with you. Block a user by clicking the "Report/Block This User" link in the left column of her profile page.
-
4
Report abusive or inappropriate content to Facebook, so the site can evaluate your complaint, and warn the other user if they deem it necessary. To report a post, hover your mouse over the post, and click the "x" in the top corner. Select "Report post" from the menu, and follow the on screen prompts to complete the report. Note that you must report a user before you block her, as once she is blocked you can no longer see her content on Facebook.
