How to Deal With Facebook Spam on My Account
By default, Facebook will send you email notifications when certain events occur. For example, Facebook sends an email message when someone sends you a friend request. You may consider many of these events Facebook spam. By changing, your Facebook notification settings, however, Facebook allows you to prevent receiving spam notifications for selected events.

Go to the Facebook.com home page.

Enter you email address and password and click the "Sign In" button.

Click the "Account" option in the upper-right corner of the Facebook window and select the "Account Settings" option.

Select the "Notifications" option.

Click the "Facebook" option.

Uncheck all boxes that correspond to Facebook events that you consider spam. For example, if you do not want to receive an email message when one of your Facebook friends "Has a birthday coming up" you would uncheck the box located to the right of this option. Repeat for all events that you do not want to receive email notifications about.

Click the "Save Changes" button to confirm that changes to your Facebook notifications.
