How to Export SBC Global to Gmail

You can copy your SBC Global messages to your Gmail account.

If you have signed up for Gmail and find yourself using it regularly, you might want to export your SBC Global email messages to your Gmail account. Gmail is a free email service offered by Google, and you can easily use its email-importing feature to export your SBC Global mail to your Gmail account. Your SBC Global emails will only be copied to Gmail; they will still also be accessible from your SBC Global account.

Instructions

1. Start your Web browser, go to the Google website (google.com) and log in to your account.

2. Click the "Gmail" link at the top of the page. Click the icon of a gear at the top of the page. Click "Mail Settings."

3. Click "Accounts and Import" at the top of the page and then click "Import Mail and Contacts." A dialog box will open.

4. Type your SBC Global email address in the "What Account Do You Want to Import From" text field and then click "Continue."

5. Type your SBC Global password in the "Password" field and then click "Continue." The "Import Options" window will open.

6. Click the "Import Mail" check box to select it and then click "Start Import." A message will appear, indicating that your SBC Global email messages are being imported to your Gmail account. Click "OK."
