How to Show You're in a Relationship on Facebook
Filling out the relationship status on your Facebook profile lets your profile viewers know when you are no longer on the market. In addition to showing people that you are in a relationship, you can also elect to link your profile with the person who you are dating or married to. When you link your profile with your partner's, visitors to your profile can click on her name and be directed to her profile. People will only see as much of your partner's profile as she has allowed in her privacy settings.

1
Log in to your Facebook account and point your browser to your profile. Your profile is quickly reached using the "Profile" link atop any screen on the site, or by clicking on your name in the top-left corner of the homepage.
-
2
Click the "Edit Profile" button in the top-right corner of your profile and then select the "Friends and Family" tab in the left column of the "Edit Profile" menu.
-
-
3
Click on the downward arrow in the "Relationship" section to expose the list of status options. Choose the appropriate relationship status, such as "Married" or "In a Relationship."
-
4
Link your profile to the person with whom you are in a relationship, if she also has a Facebook profile, by typing her name in the field below your relationship status. Your accounts can only be linked if your partner is on your friend list, and she must approve the link before it will appear on your profile. In the meantime, your profile will still show your relationship status, just not who your relationship is with.
