How Can I Submit a Letter to "Extreme Home Makeovers" on ABC?
If your home is in dire needs of repairs and you can't afford to renovate it, you and your family can apply to be featured in an episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." This reality television show which the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) regularly broadcasts helps families by repairing and renovating their homes. You can apply for "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" by sending an application package to the producers of the show.

Download the application form from ABC's website and complete it. Each household member must sign the form, including minors.

Record your application video. This video must contain the following elements: a family greeting shot where each family member introduces himself, a tour of the house, an interview with each family member and a goodbye shot where the entire family says goodbye to the camera. If another person nominated you to be on the program, that person must also be present in the video and explain why he chose to nominate you.

Tips & Warnings
Your application video must be in one of the following formats: DVD, VHS, MINI DV or MINI DVD.

Not sure which way to turn! 15 years ago life was perfect. My husband and I bought our 1st piece of property, bought a manuf. home and yard was beautiful. Due to family illnesses and economy life has taken a drastic turn for us. Husband had to have knee surgery that didn't work, sister suffered brain anuersym that left her paralyzed on left side, took in Parents whom were caring for sister. They were living in a 5th wheel in our yard so I could help with my sister. Then Mom had anuerysm, took her mind. We had them put double wide in yard so I could help with Mom and sister. All this time I was still trying to work a full time job which of course did not last. Daughter and her husband having difficulties and she was pregnant with 3rd child living in an apartment. Moved them all in with us. After 8 years things only got worse and not better. My husban and I were having to borrow from Peter to pay Paul, depression set in, Husband had to have hernia surgery, his knees have gotten horrible which is now messing with his hips, I caught pneumonia last year and was put in the hospital with a collapsed lung and had no insurance. Home needs new roof now and some floors need replaced, mold everywhere (I have not totally gotten over respiratory problem), my husband is in dier need of dental work. I am not going to be able to work much longer as I am a cake decorator but loosing use of my hands due to multiple problems. I just want to run away. Our home is a total disaster and falling down around our ears. Grandchildren have grown and have moved one into the living to sleep. Nothing works, everything is broken, place looks horrendous. I hate coming home! We don't have enough room, so much needs to be done but no one healthy enough to take care of anything. All we wanted to do was help family that needed it. Didn't know life would take this many turns. We have nothing left to give and now have drug them all down with us. Had to put sister in nursing home, lost Mom but still have Dad to take care of now, he is 76 and health starting to fail. My kids have stayed and tried to help but we are so crowded now in a falling down home. Don't see anyway to fix this. Husband and I are in such financial difficulty now having to look at bankruptcy. God please hear my prayers. There has to be some sort of solution.
