Instructions

    • 1

Organize the beer cans or bottles inside a bucket or small plastic tote. The bucket must be large enough to accommodate the beer and ice. Use a bucket or tote that will fit comfortably into any freezer space available.

    • 2

Fill the bucket with ice. Used chipped or cube, depending upon your preference or availability. Continue to pour ice into the bucket or tote until the beer is completely covered.

    • 3

Pour water into the bucket. Leave approximately 1 to 2 inches of ice and beer free of water to allow for any melting.

    • 4

Pour approximately 1 cup of salt for every 3 lbs. of ice poured over the beer. The salt will lower the temperature of the ice and water even further, speeding up the cooling process.

    • 5

Set the bucket of beer into the freezer. Wait three to four minutes and check on the beer. If it is sufficiently cooled, remove the beer. If not, rotate the bottles and leave them for an additional three to four minutes.

    • 6

Remove the bucket or tote from the freezer and pull out the chilled beers. Rinse any salt from the outside of the beer and serve.
