How to Make Dangle Earrings for a Beginner
Dangle earrings accentuate a woman's neck and add style to any outfit. Elaborate dangle earrings compliment formal outerwear, while simple dangle earrings dress up a casual ensemble without overshadowing fashion styles. Make simple dangle earrings with headpins and beads. Headpins are easy to manipulate and keep beads in place. Give the dangle earrings to a loved one as a gift, or make the earrings to fit your personal style.

1
Select the beads to make the dangle earrings. Use a combination of beads, such as metal and stone beads, that express your sense of style. Also select an ear wire hook and head pin color, such as silver, to compliment the beads.
-
2
Lay a cotton hand towel on a table to prevent the beads from rolling away. Lay the beads over the towel, and create the earring designs. Make the earring designs 1/2 inch shorter than the actual size of each headpin. For example, if the headpins are 2 inches long, make each design about 1 1/2 inches in length.

3
Hold each headpin individually with the flat bottom facing down. Add the beads onto the headpins, and lay both beaded headpins on the towel. Pick up one beaded pin with one hand, and get the pliers with the other hand.
-
4
Grasp the pin with the tip of the pliers 1/4 inch above the last bead, and bend the pin to a 90 degree angle. Insert the bent section of the pin through the ear hook's eyelet.
-
5
Grip the top of the pin with the pliers and fold the top of the pin over the eyelet to form a closed loop. The result is one dangle earring. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to complete the second dangle earring.
