How to Fix the Ice Dispenser on a GE Model 20 22 25
GE Model 20, 22 and 25 refrigerators are side-by-side units, designed for residential use. The refrigerators have an automatic ice maker built into the freezer compartment, as well as an ice dispenser and water fountain built into the door. If the dispenser stops functioning properly, you must remove it and install a new dispenser. Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet.

Grasp the dispenser interface from the bottom, then pull it toward you to remove it from the dispenser. Disconnect the wire harnesses on the rear of the interface, then set the interface aside.

Remove the screws securing the dispenser housing to the refrigerator and pull the housing away from the refrigerator.

Align the new dispenser housing with the refrigerator and reinstall the mounting screws to secure it in place.

Connect the wire connectors to the interface, then snap the interface onto the front of the new dispenser housing.

Restore power to the refrigerator to complete the repair.
