Instructions

    • 1

Moisten a cotton towel with mild body soap and warm water. Wring the towel over a sink to remove excess moisture. Then, rub the damp towel over the inner area of each thigh to clean the skin's surface. Pat each thigh dry with a dry cotton towel.

    • 2

Place about a half teaspoon of talcum powder into one hand, and rub both hands together. Pat the talcum powder onto both inner thighs with your hands on the areas that commonly chafe, such as the inner thigh or the top and center of each thigh. Talcum powder absorbs moisture when you sweat.

    • 3

Opt for petroleum jelly rather than powder, if planning to wear a skirt during a daylong activity. Dispense about one quarter teaspoon of the lubricant onto the tips of your fingers, and lightly rub your fingers together to distribute the lubricant evenly on fingertips.

    • 4

Rub the lubricant on the inside of each thigh in a circular motion to cover the inner thighs evenly, and allow the lubricant to penetrate into the skin. The lubricant hydrates the skin and prevents salt from forming on the skin's surface when sweating, while allowing the thighs to rub with ease.
