How to Catch an Alley-Oop in "NBA 2K10"
"NBA 2K10" is a video game that puts you in control of your favorite NBA teams and players as they try to win a championship trophy. Players in "NBA 2K10" can pull off many different moves to help them score, including the sensational alley-oop play, in which one player tosses the ball to another in midair for him to slam dunk it into the hoop. If you are controlling the player with the ball, you can pass it off to another player, jump and catch an alley-oop that he will toss back to you.

Start dribbling toward the basket that you are trying to score in. Look around at your teammates while moving toward the basket and try to find one that is open. Press the "Pass" button to toss the ball to him. Choose a team member with a high passing rate so that the pass to you is on the mark.

Move away from any defenders that are guarding you. Get away from your defender, and move toward the basket. Do not move toward the basket immediately if opposing players are standing in the lane waiting for you or you will crash into the defender and get a foul called against you.

Run in a straight line toward the basket. Pres the "Spin" button once when you reach the free throw line or the edge of the lane. Your player will call to the player with the ball for him to throw it up for an alley-oop. You will automatically jump up for it.

Press the "Shoot" button as soon as your player catches the alley-oop. Your player will move the ball into position and slam it through the hoop in one motion before coming down to the floor.
