How to Get Chansey on "Pearl"
Chansey is a Normal-type Pokemon with average offensive and defensive statistics. Her most useful contribution to your team comes in the form of her healing abilities, such as Healing Wish and Refresh, which restore health and remove status effects. In "Pokemon Pearl," Chansey is most accessible on Route 209, where she has a five percent encounter rate during any time of the day and is at level 16.

Go to Hearthome City. Press the "Start" button and select "Map" to see your current location and distance from the city.

Walk to the eastern side of the city and enter Route 209, as indicated by the sign on the road.

Walk through any of the patches of grass along Route 209 until you encounter Chansey. Weaken Chansey with Fighting-based attacks until her health bar is red. Incapacitate her with a status attack, such as Sleep or Paralyze, and throw a Poke Ball to capture Chansey.
