Lingerie showers are a fun and saucy way to celebrate the bride and her upcoming nuptials. The theme has expanded from strictly giving pretty lingerie and nighties; shower gifts can include sensual oils and perfumes, belly dancing classes, a shower head for two and anything else sexy and sensual. Games that incorporate romance and sex have become mainstream at lingerie showers, and it's not uncommon to serve cocktails. Sometimes a lingerie shower takes the place of a bachelorette party. Send out invitations at least a month in advance. Be sure to make it clear that it is a lingerie shower. It is appropriate to include sizes and a few lingerie shops the bride likes inside the invitation. It is also appropriate to request that each guest bring a different item like panties, a nightie, a robe, a garter and stockings, so she has a complete outfit for her honeymoon.

Decorate for a lingerie shower creatively. If it is an evening shower, light candles and decorate with bouquets of fresh flowers. If the bride has a good sense of humor, create a sexy lingerie clothes line over the food table.

Play games that have a romantic or sexy theme. Make a quiz that tests everyone's knowledge of celebrity couples and their weddings, or play a sexy version of 20 Questions. And there's always Pin the Bra on the Donkey. Award prizes to make it more fun.
