Instructions

    • 1

Wrap the outside of the motorcycle helmet with strips of aluminum foil. Wrap the ends of the strips inside the helmet. Secure the foil to the inside of the helmet with masking tape. Smooth the foil over the outside surface of the helmet.

    • 2

Cut a piece of bronze window film the size and shape of the face shield. Line the inside of the face shield with the window tint film. Follow the manufacturer's directions on the package to get a smooth coating of film inside the shield. The shield will look gold- or bronze-colored on the outside, but will be transparent from the inside.

    • 3

Stick adhesive letters on the back of the helmet to spell out an astronaut's name. Use your last name or the name of a famous astronaut.

    • 4

Attach the face shield to the helmet by snapping it together using the snaps around the edge of the face opening.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you don't have a motorcycle helmet, a hockey goalie helmet or football helmet will work.
