How to Get a Shadow Pikachu on Emerald

Shadow Pikachu is one of the nicknames for shiny Pikachu. Pikachu is not the only Pokemon that can be shiny. In fact, all Pokemon have alternate shiny or shadow forms, but there is a 1 in 8,192 chance of encountering it. To obtain a shiny or shadow Pikachu in "Pokemon Emerald," you must first input a GameShark code, then travel to the Safari Zone to catch a Pikachu. There is no difference between this Pikachu and a regular Pikachu aside from the color scheme.

Instructions

1. Connect "Pokemon Emerald" to the GameShark and plug the GameShark into the GameBoy Advance.

2. Input the shiny code at the GameShark code screen. The shiny code is:

3. Load your "Pokemon Emerald" game file.

4. Travel to the Safari Zone on Route 121. Explore the southwest or southeast portions of the park and walk around until you encounter a Pikachu. Any Pokemon you encounter will be shiny due to the code. Use a Safari Ball to capture it.
