How to Troubleshoot a Spartan M2400N
The Spartan M2400N is a replacement battery for the Asus M2400N laptop. If you are having problems with your Spartan M2400N, don't send it back for service until you've tried troubleshooting it yourself. The most common issues involve the AC adapter used to charge the battery; you should also check for short circuits and damage to the battery pins. Any of these problems will prevent the laptop from powering up and the battery from charging.

1
Unplug the AC adapter from the wall outlet. Run your fingers from the tip of the adapter to the electrical pins on the other end. If you find any frays or breaks in the wiring, replace the adapter immediately.
-
2
Check the three electrical pins on the end of the AC adapter. They carry the electrical current to the laptop. If they are bent, straighten them with a pair of pliers.

3
Take the battery out of the bottom of the computer by turning the battery release latch to the right. Check the connection pins at the bottom of the battery. They connect to the laptop's charging pins. If there is any damage to the pins, replace the battery immediately.
-
4
Charge the battery. This can take up to 90 minutes. A common mistake is to think that the battery is broken when it simply hasn't been charged.
-
5
Take your computer to a repair shop to have it diagnosed for short circuits. Spilled liquid, incompatible hardware, dead motherboards and damage from the computer being dropped can all cause short circuits.
