How to Change the Lines on a Created Team in "NHL 10"
"NHL 10" is a long-running series of NHL hockey video games, focusing on playing the sport itself, but also concentrating on aspects of team coaching such as selecting strategy, dressing a goalie to play and editing lines before a game to match up against an opposing team better. When selecting a created team to play against an opponent, whether online, sharing a screen, or facing artificial intelligence, players can change the team lines before the game begins.

Launch the "NHL 10" game in your console and wait through opening credits. Press "Start" when prompted.

Select a game mode in which to play a game from the main menu. These include online matches, exhibition games, international games, and "Be a GM" mode.

Choose your team from the team selection screen that occurs before games. Click on a player's name and select a teammate to replace him from the list that appears. This is your opportunity to tweak lines and put the team you prefer on the ice. Remember to fill in a player's previous spot after moving him to a new line, or he will play on both lines during the game and become fatigued easily.

Tips & Warnings
During coaching segments between plays, a button guide appears on the screen saying which button to press to change the forward or defensive lines on the ice for the next play.
