Your phone's SIM card can be used to transfer contacts.

A major concern for purchasers of new cell phones is being able to maintain their list of contacts. It is not unusual for a single cell phone to hold dozens of saved names and phone numbers. To copy these contacts from a Sony Ericsson phone to Nokia's E72, you will need to make use of your SIM card. This card can hold your old contacts and transfer them to your new E72 when you insert it into the E72's SIM card slot.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert your SIM card into the Sony Ericsson phone.

    • 2

Open your Sony Ericsson "Contacts" and press the menu. Select the option to copy your contacts to your SIM card. You may need to open the "Advanced" or "More Options" submenu within "Contacts."

    • 3

Remove the SIM card from the Sony Ericsson and insert it into the E72. Turn on the E72 if it is not already on.

    • 4

Open "Option" and then select "Settings" followed by "Contacts." Change the "Contacts to display" option to show the contacts saved on your SIM card.
