Converse athletic shoes add a touch of fashion to any casual outfit. The shoelaces, however, can offend your fashion sense and make an outfit appear messy. hidden shoelaces place more of a focus on the outfit than the shoes. You can hide your shoelaces when wearing Converse shoes using a simple technique.

Lace the shoe with a straight-lace technique, beginning from the first two eyelets at the bottom of each shoe. Insert the ends of the shoelaces, known as aglets, through the tops of the first eyelets on the left and right sides of each shoe. Pull the shoelaces through each eyelet. The result is a straight bar across the bottom-most eyelets with the shoelaces inside the shoes above the tongue.

Insert the right aglet through the bottom of the second eyelet on the right. This creates a vertical line with the shoelace between the first and second eyelets on the inner-right-side of the shoe. Pull the shoelace through the top of the eyelet and run the shoelace across to the left side of the shoe. Insert the aglet through the top of the second eyelet on the left and pull the shoelace through the eyelet. Both shoelaces finish on the inner-left side of each Converse.

Thread the left shoelace inserted into the first eyelet on the left side of each shoe through the bottom of the third eyelet on the left. Pull the shoelace out through the top of the third eyelet. The result is a vertical line between the first and third left eyelets on the inner-left side of each shoe.

Run the left shoelace across to the right side of each shoe. Insert the aglet through the top of the third eyelet on the right side of each shoe and pull the shoelace through.

Thread the existing shoelace on the left side of the shoe through the bottom of the fourth eyelet on the left and pull the shoelace through the top of the eyelet. The result is a vertical line between the second and fourth eyelet on the inner-left side of the each shoe. Run the shoelace across to the right side of each shoe.

Insert the aglet through the top of the fourth eyelet on the right and pull the shoelace through the eyelet. Both shoelaces finish on the inner-right side of each shoe.

Continue to lace the Converse as indicated in steps 3 through 6 until both shoelaces finish below the top-two left eyelets on each shoe. Tie a knot with both shoelaces on the left side of each shoe upon reaching the top eyelets.

Tuck the shoelaces under the tongue of the Converse shoes, or on the sides of the shoes beside the tongue, to avoid stepping on the shoelace ends. Slip the Converse on and adjust the laces inside each shoe for comfort.
